Requirements for Prospective Pilots
You MUST be fluent in the English language.
You MUST be at least 18 years old
You MUST be able to fly from 2000-2130 EST on Sunday nights (Campaign and Training)
You MUST have a good attitude, be willing to learn, be willing to operate as a team
The vVMA-231 has been an active squadron since the release of the AV-8B Harrier in DCS. We play an integral role in the Carrier Strike Group-1 community, and we focus on realistic flying, combat tactics, and training. We understand that this is a simulator and we work to perform as close to real world flying as possible.
First and foremost, we have fun!
Please be aware that the technical requirements for online multiplayer flying are higher than for single player. Please review your system to see if you meet the minimum specifications before applying to the group.
We are looking for pilots who want to fly and have fun and also follow the code of conduct for being a virtual fighter pilot. We can teach you how to fly like the modern fighter squadrons using the same tactics. We ask that at a minimum, you participate in an online flight at least once per week. Experience is not critical, if you are willing to put in the time, we are willing to train you.
We require the following minimum hardware:
16 GB RAM
Track IR or VR
Stick, Throttle, Pedals or equivalent Yaw Control
Stable Internet Connection
DCS Persian Gulf Map
